October 19th,2024

As Bahamas Medical & Surgical Supplies Limited (BahamasMedical) proudly approaches its 25th anniversary, the company is excited to announce a special event dedicated to giving back to the community that has supported its journey. On September 14,2024 BahamasMedical hosted a Super Service Saturday, an occasion designed to honor the milestone by directly impacting the lives of those in Nassau and Freeport.

On Super Service Saturday, the company sponsored a nourishing breakfast for over 150 senior citizens residing in the public and private local senior citizen homes including Unity House, Pat Senior Citizen Home, Persis Rodgers Home for the Aged, and Grand Bahama Home for the Aged. This initiative aimed to bring joy and comfort to the elderly, many of whom have contributed significantly to our community’s rich history.

But the company’s commitment doesn’t stop there. In addition to providing a warm meal, Bahamas Medical & Surgical Supplies Limited donated over 1000 units of PURELL® sanitization products, helping to ensure that these senior citizen homes maintain the highest standards of health and safety. This act of generosity reflects the company’s deep-seated values of care and responsibility.

In light of the growing concern over food insecurity in the Bahamas, where many families face challenges in accessing sufficient and nutritious food, Bahamas Medical & Surgical Supplies Limited is taking meaningful action. The company has responded to the broader issue of food hunger, Bahamas Medical & Surgical Supplies Limited has partnered with local organizations to distribute essential food items to vulnerable families including Hands for Hunger and the Bahamas Feeding Network. This initiative aims to provide immediate relief to those facing food insecurity and support long-term efforts to alleviate hunger in the community.

“Our 25th anniversary is not just a celebration of our achievements but to give back to the community that has been with us every step of the way,” said Mrs. Margot Barnett, Director at Bahamas Medical & Surgical Supplies Limited. “Super Service Saturday is our way of giving back and demonstrating our commitment to those who have supported us throughout the years. It’s a day to show our gratitude and make a tangible difference in the lives of our seniors within our community.”

The Super Service Saturday event underscores Bahamas Medical & Surgical Supplies Limited’s ongoing dedication to community welfare. By focusing on the well-being of the elderly and supporting essential health practices, the company reaffirms its role as a compassionate and responsible corporate citizen
